Change text, fonts and colors

Keep dynamic content connected while adjusting typography and appearance.

Updated

Check where the text comes from

Select a text layer and inspect its content type. Custom text is entered by you; dates, time and goal names come from a data source.

Keep the source when changing only font or color. Replacing a date with the typed words “October 18” stops that text from changing as a date.

Change content and style

  1. Select the text layer. For fixed content, open Custom Text and enter your wording.
  2. Choose a font, size and weight. Wait for downloaded fonts to finish; retry or use a system font if downloading fails.
  3. Adjust alignment, line limits and spacing, checking that the content fits.
  4. Select Common, Light or Dark in the toolbar before changing color. Check contrast in both appearances.
  5. Save and inspect the Home Screen result.

If text is cut off

Check the text box, parent clipping, line limit and text scaling. Longer titles, translations and larger system text can need more space.

A condition may supply a different text or color result. Read conditional display if the value changes with data.

Keep content dynamic

Use date and time formatting for live values. Change task and goal names in their personal records.
