Widgets not refreshing or showing old content

Check saved data and selection before investigating system limits.

Updated September 17, 2026

Check the result inside the app

  1. Open the saved widget and check whether its editor preview has the latest content.
  2. For tasks, goals and important dates, check the record in My and the widget’s selected list or record.
  3. After saving, use My → Settings → Refresh widget data, then return to the home screen.

Why an update may not be immediate

On iOS, WidgetKit schedules updates and allocates a refresh budget based on usage. Requesting an update does not guarantee immediate redraw; widgets are not continuously running apps.

Checks for the Android release

If updates stop only after time in the background, inspect the app’s battery or sleeping-app settings. Record the original setting, change only the affected app and watch battery use. Follow your model’s official instructions.

Keep your saved work

Confirm that your design is saved before restarting or re-adding its home-screen widget. Do not start troubleshooting with uninstalling, clearing app storage or a factory reset.
