Save and use a wallpaper

Preview and save

1. Open Wallpapers, select an image and inspect the subject's position in the preview.
2. Choose Use. If quality options are available, select one; membership options explain the required benefit.
3. Choose Save and grant the access requested for that operation.
4. Wait for confirmation and look in system Photos or Gallery. If the result says it was saved to a file, follow that destination instead.

Save the original rather than a screenshot of the preview. Preview clocks, controls and other interface decorations may not be part of the image.

Apply on iPhone

1. Open system Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper.
2. Choose Photos and find the saved image.
3. Position and scale it, check where the clock and controls overlap, then add it.
4. Use a wallpaper pair for the same image on both screens, or customize the Home Screen separately.

Menus vary by iOS version. Blur, filters and spatial effects are system options whose availability depends on the image and device.

Apply on Android

If the Use panel offers wallpaper destinations, choose Home Screen, Lock Screen or both and confirm through the system. Otherwise save the image and apply it from system wallpaper settings or Gallery.

Manufacturer menus differ; use the help directory's device guides. Confirm the destination so you do not update only the Lock Screen and then inspect the Home Screen.

Check the result

Return to the target screen and inspect framing and clarity. See wallpaper display problems for blur or enlargement, and photo permissions for saving or access failures.
