Android: add, resize and remove widgets

Understand launcher controls, resize handles and brand differences.

Updated September 17, 2026

Release status and scope

MuseScreen for Android is coming soon; its download destination is not yet confirmed. The steps below describe Android controls. Available widgets depend on the released app and device.

Using the default Pixel launcher

  1. Long-press an empty home-screen area, open Widgets and expand an app.
  2. Drag a widget into free space. To resize, hold then release it; resize handles appear only when supported.
  3. Use Remove to take it off the home screen; do not choose Uninstall unless you intend to remove the app.

Different menus or no room

Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO and vivo use different launcher menus. Identify your launcher, then check space, layout locks and any work-profile restrictions. The Android version alone does not determine every menu.
