Not every widget can be freely resized. Its settings menu may also offer background or transparency options, depending on the widget.

- Find an app and expand its widget styles. Choose a size and add it to the home screen.
- If resize handles appear, drag them to adjust the space used. Hold the widget to move it.

Set a Gallery image as your wallpaper
- Hold an empty home screen area, open Wallpaper and style, then Change wallpapers.
- Choose a saved image from Gallery and confirm your selection.
- Choose the lock screen, home screen, or both, then open the preview.
- Adjust the crop and position, check text placement, and tap Done.

Distinguish the home screen, lock screen, and cover screen
These steps focus on the home screen where app icons live. Galaxy lock screens have their own widget options, and foldable cover screens have separate supported lists. They do not automatically inherit all home screen widgets.
